PokerTracker 3 Update Corrects PokerStars Zoom Issues
A rare update to
PokerTracker 3 was released in recent days and corrected an issue that was affecting
HUDs on Fixed Limit Zoom Poker tables on
PokerStars. We say a "rare update" because the actual issue that affected HUDs on PokerStars in the first place occurred back in early December. In the meantime, PokerTracker officials have been focusing primarily on
PokerTracker 4, the newest incarnation of the product, but corrected several issues on
PokerTracker 3 in recent days.
On
PartyPoker, the latest update to PokerTracker 3 "fixed a rare situation where a 'live' penalty small blind was treated as a 'dead blind.'" Now, all blinds should post correctly in PokerTracker 3. If you play on
888 Poker and use PT3, you might notice that issues where the wrong center points were chosen for the HUD were corrected.
Sonic Boom and Electro, two six-max Rush Poker tables on
Full Tilt Poker, were added in PT3. Fixed was a bug that affected HUD displays at Zoom Cap tables when the "Stats From Current Cash Limit Only" option was enabled. As you can see, a variety of Zoom issues were addressed, so if you play Zoom Poker games now and utilize PT3's Heads-Up Display, it should be smooth sailing.
One
Mac poker problem was corrected in the newest PokerTracker 3 release, an issue with multiple display support that could cause the note window to appear behind the table. PokerStars and Full Tilt both have Mac versions, so any fix by PokerTracker's programmers to the Mac versions will affect multiple sites.
PokerTracker 3 users looking to upgrade to PokerTracker 4 can do so at a 40% discount, but the offer will not be available much longer. PokerTracker 3's end of life, which is when tech support for
PokerTracker 3 will no longer exist, is July 1 of this year. Consequently, it would be optimal for any remaining
PokerTracker 3 users to make the switch to PokerTracker 4 as soon as possible to make sure they will continue to have the best possible support options possible as well as compatibility with the online poker room updates that PokerTracker frequently releases.
